Your data, explained

Privacy, in plain language.

Website preferences and country detection

The website stores your appearance and manual language choices in localStorage. In Automatic mode, your browser contacts country.is, which receives your IP address to estimate your country. We cache only the country code and a timestamp in sessionStorage for one hour. We do not request precise location permission. Choose a language manually to stop automatic country lookups.

Hosting and technical requests

Cloudflare hosts this website and processes connection information such as IP addresses, requested URLs and browser information to deliver and protect it. Our current website code does not add advertising pixels or a third-party analytics script. Cloudflare and connected services have their own privacy policies.

Your app library and connection credentials

Peeki keeps library references, metadata, profiles, favorites, settings and watch progress on your device. Media-server tokens and network-share passwords use secure device storage. When source credentials are synced, these secrets are encrypted on the device before transmission. This does not mean every library or sync record uses the same end-to-end encryption.

Optional cloud sync and Google access

If you enable Google Drive or iCloud sync, selected library and settings records are stored with that provider. Google sign-in can request your email to show the connected account and drive.file access for Peeki-created sync files. Adding Google Drive as a media source can request drive.readonly access to browse and play your files. Permissions and availability vary by device. You can disconnect sync in the app and revoke Google access in your Google account.

Metadata, subtitles and diagnostics

Peeki requests movie information and artwork from TMDB. Subtitle searches can contact OpenSubtitles when you use those features. App builds configured for Sentry can send crash reports, session information and sampled performance diagnostics. Those requests may include technical device or error information. Diagnostic reporting depends on the app build; this website does not run the app's Sentry SDK.

Retention and your controls

Local library data and website preferences remain until you remove or clear them. Cloud sync files and provider records may need to be removed through the relevant provider. Provider retention rules also apply to hosted and diagnostic records. Contact us if you need help finding or removing data associated with your use of Peeki.

Contact and privacy requests

Email contact@peeki.tv to ask about access, correction or deletion of information. We may need to verify that a request relates to your own data. If you email us, your email address and message are used to handle that request. Do not send passwords, access tokens or private media URLs.
